A video interactive installation site specific in the Basilica Cistern Yerebatan Sarnici, to recall the relevance of the city of Istanbul in the history as epicenter of meeting and exchange between different cultures.
Five kilometers of filaments of nylon entwine from the arches to shape a suspended invisible pattern right at the focal point of the centre Yerebatan Sarnici. Water drops slide along the threads. Every drop traces a slight intimate path, revealed by the sparkles caused by the light reflection. Toghether, before joining with and into the underneath water, they shape and outline and unveil the pattern. Some hands are there, waiting for them, they seem to surface virtually from the bottom of the water pool. During its fall, each drop will animate one hand in a gesture of grasping it, uselessly
